About the Role
Experienced field supervisors needed to conduct unannounced site visits, evaluate officer performance, manage shift coverage, and ensure post orders are being executed correctly across all client locations. Minimum 3 years of security industry experience required. Prior supervisory experience strongly preferred. Valid BSIS Guard Card required.
This role is for security professionals who have been in the field, know what good looks like, and are ready to hold others to that standard. You'll be the person who ensures our officers are performing correctly when no one else is watching — and the person our clients trust to keep the operation running at the level they pay for.
Field supervisors at Solo Security Corp are the backbone of our operational quality. You will conduct unannounced site visits across active client locations, evaluate officer performance against post orders, manage shift coverage issues in real time, and serve as the direct escalation point for field-level concerns. You'll work closely with our operations management team and be the person officers call when something goes wrong on a post. This role requires experience, maturity, authority, and the ability to make fast, correct decisions in situations that don't wait for a meeting.
Responsibilities
Conduct Unannounced Site Visits Body: Regularly visit active client sites without prior notice to observe officer performance, verify post order compliance, and assess site conditions. Document all findings accurately.
Evaluate Officer Performance Body: Assess each officer's professionalism, alertness, uniform compliance, post order adherence, and reporting quality. Provide direct, constructive feedback on the spot and escalate persistent issues to management.
Manage Shift Coverage in Real Time Body: When officers call out, you find the solution — whether that means deploying a backup officer, temporarily covering the post yourself, or escalating to operations management. The post does not go empty.
Support & Mentor Field Officers Body: Beyond evaluation, you develop the people you supervise. Brief new officers on site-specific requirements, coach performance issues constructively, and recognize officers who are performing well.
Investigate & Document Incidents Body: For significant incidents at client sites, you lead the field-level investigation — gathering information, interviewing officers, documenting facts, and producing an accurate incident report for management and the client.
Maintain Client Relationships Body: You are often the Solo Security Corp representative our clients interact with most at the field level. Your professionalism, communication, and responsiveness directly affect client confidence and retention.
Requirements
Required: ✅ Valid California BSIS Security Guard Card (active) ✅ Valid California Driver's License — reliable vehicle required ✅ Minimum 3 years of security industry experience ✅ Prior supervisory, team leader, or shift lead experience ✅ Strong written and verbal communication skills ✅ Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, nights, and weekends as needed ✅ Clean background check ✅ Proficiency with mobile reporting platforms or willingness to learn
Preferred (not required): ⭐ California BSIS Firearm Permit ⭐ 5+ years of security industry experience ⭐ Prior law enforcement, military, or corrections background ⭐ Experience managing security operations across multiple sites ⭐ CPR/First Aid certification
