About the Role
Licensed armed security officers needed for commercial, residential, and corporate client sites across Southern California. You will manage access control, conduct patrols, respond to incidents, and submit shift reports. A valid California BSIS Guard Card and Firearm Permit are required. Professional demeanor and punctuality are non-negotiable.

As an armed on-site security officer at Solo Security Corp, you will be stationed at client sites across Orange County and Los Angeles — including corporate offices, healthcare facilities, retail properties, and residential communities. You are the visible, professional face of security at your post. Your presence deters threats, your judgment manages access, and your response capability ensures that when something happens, it's handled correctly. You'll work under clear post orders written specifically for your site and will have direct support from our field supervisors throughout every shift.
Responsibilities
Maintain a Visible, Professional Presence Body: You will be stationed at your assigned post in full uniform, maintaining a visible and professional deterrent presence throughout your shift. Your conduct on site directly reflects the standard Solo Security Corp sets for every client.
Control Access & Screen Visitors Body: Manage entry and exit points, verify credentials, screen visitors, and enforce the client's access control protocols — ensuring only authorized individuals enter restricted areas.
Conduct Scheduled Patrols Body: Perform interior and exterior patrols at defined intervals, checking doors, gates, lighting, and vulnerable areas. Document all patrol activity using our mobile reporting platform.
Respond to Incidents Body: Assess and respond to security incidents, disturbances, and emergencies on site. Follow documented escalation procedures, coordinate with emergency services when required, and document every incident with a timestamped report.
Submit Shift Reports Body: Complete accurate, detailed shift and incident reports using our mobile platform at the end of every shift. Clear documentation is non-negotiable — it protects you, the client, and the company.
Communicate with Supervisors Body: Maintain regular communication with your field supervisor throughout your shift. Report any concerns, changes in site conditions, or incidents immediately through the proper channels.
Requirements
Required: ✅ Valid California BSIS Security Guard Card (active, not expired) ✅ Valid California BSIS Firearm Permit (active, not expired) ✅ Valid California Driver's License ✅ Clean background check — no disqualifying criminal history ✅ Reliable transportation to and from assigned sites ✅ Professional appearance — ability to wear and maintain uniform ✅ Strong verbal communication skills ✅ Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods
Preferred (not required): ⭐ 1–3 years of prior security officer experience ⭐ Experience in a corporate, healthcare, or residential security role ⭐ CPR/First Aid certification ⭐ Military or law enforcement background
Availability: Day, swing, and overnight shifts available. Weekend availability is a strong advantage. Full-time and part-time positions open.
