About the Role
Monitoring operators needed to staff our 24/7 control room — watching live CCTV feeds, verifying alarms, coordinating emergency dispatch, and logging all incidents in real time. Must be detail-oriented, calm under pressure, and able to work overnight shifts. Experience in surveillance monitoring or emergency communications is a strong advantage.
This role is for people who are calm under pressure, highly detail-oriented, and capable of making quick, accurate decisions when it matters most. You'll be the eyes of our operation — watching live feeds, verifying alarms, and coordinating emergency response for client sites across California. Every decision you make in this room has a direct impact on real people's safety.
Solo Security Corp's control room operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Our monitoring operators watch live CCTV feeds, verify alarm triggers, monitor access control systems, and coordinate with local emergency services across our client portfolio. This is not a passive job. When an alarm triggers at 3 AM, you're the one verifying whether it's a real threat, deciding how to respond, and making the call that protects our client's property and people. You'll work from our command center in Irvine with direct access to supervisors and documented response protocols for every site you monitor.
Responsibilities
Monitor Live CCTV Feeds Body: Actively watch camera feeds across multiple client sites simultaneously. You are looking for anything unusual, unauthorized, or potentially threatening — and you act on it immediately when you see it.
Verify Alarms in Real Time Body: When an alarm triggers, you check the associated camera feeds, assess whether a genuine threat exists, and determine the appropriate response — all within seconds, not minutes.
Dispatch Emergency Services Body: For verified threats, you coordinate directly with local police, fire, or emergency medical services. You relay real-time information from the property to assist the response and document everything.
Monitor Access Control Systems Body: Track entry and exit activity at client access points, flag unauthorized access attempts, and ensure access control systems are operating correctly across all monitored properties.
Communicate with On-Site Officers Body: Maintain active radio and phone communication with field officers and patrol units. Relay information, direct responses, and coordinate activity across your monitored sites during your shift.
Log Every Event Accurately Body: Document every alarm event, camera alert, access incident, and emergency dispatch with full details, timestamps, and outcome notes. Accurate logging is a legal requirement and a professional standard — there are no shortcuts.
